Pros

  • Accepted by all ten bookmakers we review
  • Does not rely on local banks or payment agents
  • Fast payouts once approved, often within an hour
  • Transparent: every transaction can be tracked on the blockchain

Cons

  • Price volatility can change the value of your balance between deposit and withdrawal

  • Mistakes such as a wrong address are permanent
  • Crypto is restricted or heavily taxed in some of our markets

How to Deposit with Bitcoin

  1. 1

Buy BTC on an exchange or hold it in a wallet you control.

  2. 2

In the bookmaker's cashier, choose Bitcoin and copy the deposit address or scan the QR code.

  3. 3

In your wallet, paste the address, check the first and last characters, and enter the amount.

  4. 4

Choose a network fee; a higher fee confirms faster when the network is busy.

  5. 5

Wait for the required confirmations, usually one to three blocks, after which the deposit is credited.

How to Withdraw with Bitcoin

  1. 1

Complete any verification the bookmaker requires for crypto payouts.

  2. 2

Select Withdraw, choose Bitcoin and paste your own wallet address.

  3. 3

Double-check the address, as Bitcoin transfers cannot be reversed.

  4. 4

Enter the amount, note any withdrawal fee shown, and confirm, often with two-factor authentication.

  5. 5

Track the transaction with the ID provided; funds arrive once the network confirms it.

Bitcoin is not a stable currency, though. Its price can move several per cent in a day, network fees rise when the blockchain is busy, and a payment sent to the wrong address cannot be reversed. Crypto is also regulated or restricted in several of our markets, so understand the rules where you live first.

How Bitcoin deposits and withdrawals work

Each bookmaker gives you a Bitcoin address linked to your account. When you send BTC to it, the transaction is broadcast to the network and included in a block, on average every ten minutes. Most sites credit the deposit after one to three confirmations, so a deposit typically takes 10-60 minutes.

Withdrawals reverse the process. After the bookmaker approves the request, it sends BTC from its wallet to your address. Crypto-first sites often approve automatically, which is why Bitcoin payouts can arrive within the hour. Our withdrawal speed guide compares approval times.

Balance currency

Some sites keep your balance in BTC, so its value moves with the market. Others convert deposits into dollars, rupees or another fiat currency, which removes price risk while you bet but adds a conversion step. Check which applies before depositing.

Limits, speeds and fees

Indicative figures at the bookmakers we review, September 2026
ItemTypical rangeNotes
Minimum deposit$1-$20 equivalentSome sites set no minimum but small deposits may be uneconomic
Minimum withdrawal$10-$30 equivalentVaries by site
Deposit time10-60 minutesOne to three confirmations
Withdrawal time15 minutes-24 hoursAfter approval
FeesNetwork fee onlySome sites add a small fixed withdrawal fee

Network fees are paid to miners, not the bookmaker, and depend on how busy the network is rather than on the amount sent. For small deposits, a stablecoin on a low-fee network such as USDT on TRC20 is usually cheaper.

Volatility, tax and regulation

Bookmakers may also apply their own exchange rate when converting BTC to a fiat balance, which can differ from the market price by a percentage point or more. Compare the rate shown in the cashier with a public price source before confirming a large deposit or withdrawal.

Bitcoin's price can move by 5-10% in a week. If your balance is held in BTC, a winning bet can still lose value, and a losing streak can be amplified. Convert only what you intend to bet.

Crypto rules differ widely across our markets. Nigeria and Kenya have introduced crypto licensing regimes for exchanges.

Bookmakers that accept Bitcoin

All ten bookmakers we review accept Bitcoin deposits: 1xBet, Mostbet, Melbet, 22Bet, Dafabet, Stake, BC.Game, 4rabet, 1win and Pin-Up. Stake and BC.Game are built around crypto and usually process BTC payouts fastest; at the others crypto sits alongside local fiat methods.

Practical tips for using Bitcoin

A few simple habits avoid most costly Bitcoin mistakes at betting sites.

  • Check the current network fee before sending; during busy periods, waiting a few hours can cut it sharply.
  • Confirm whether the bookmaker supports native SegWit (bc1) addresses for withdrawals if your wallet uses them.
  • Keep records of purchase prices and withdrawals for tax purposes where crypto gains are taxable.

Some bookmakers also support the Lightning Network for small, near-instant Bitcoin payments with minimal fees. Where offered, it suits small deposits well, but check that your wallet supports Lightning and that the cashier accepts it for withdrawals too, as support is often one-way.

If price risk is your main concern, consider a stablecoin instead. If speed is the priority, compare approval times across bookmakers rather than blockchain speed alone, as approval is usually the slower step.

Whether online betting is allowed depends on your country, so check the rules where you live before you deposit with Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Safety Tips

  • Always copy deposit addresses fresh from the cashier; some sites rotate addresses and clipboard malware can swap them.
  • Send a small test amount first when using a new address or bookmaker.
  • Enable two-factor authentication on both your betting account and your crypto wallet or exchange.
